Born and raised in Bangkok in 1993, Chef Arttasit Pattanasatienkul — known to many simply as Chef Big— has become a celebrated figure in Thailand gastronomic scene. As the youngest son in his family, he began his culinary journey at the age of 18, driven by a deep passion for food.


Top Chef Thailand
In 2023, Chef Big earned national recognition as the winner of Top Chef Thailand, further solidifying his reputation by being listed as one of Tatler’s Rising Star Chefs that same year. Later on in 2024, his exceptional skills not only led him to personal triumph but also to coaching success when his niece, Ata, claimed victory in MasterChef Junior Thailand Season 3, proving his ability to both compete and mentor at the highest level.

The Experience Behind the Dish
Chef Big’s culinary expertise is backed by a master’s degree in International Culinary Management & Hospitality from Switzerland. He has worked in several Michelin-starred restaurants with world’s best chef before launching his own ventures. During the pandemic, he created a chef’s table experience, Yak Tum Tae Mai Yak Gin, which achieved four years of continuous fully-booked success. Most recently, he has expanded his creative vision with the opening of his French bistro, Yakyang.
